Developed as Zee’s MFA Thesis performance at Sarah Lawrence College, [PER ARDUA] tells the ghost story of her childhood. Over the course of the performance, she exhumes the memories of her father’s death in a long-delayed effort to process that grief. Interrogating our internal practices of grieving and what we choose to hold on to, [PER ARDUA] asks of its audience and author “How do you forgive somebody you can’t talk to?”
